The Company directors and management are highly experienced in the mineral resource sector and are focused on enhancing shareholder value by expanding Tinka’s assets.

Tinka's main asset in Peru is the 100% owned Colquipucro silver-lead-zinc project consisting of 46 contiguous mineral tenements covering an area of 9,827 hectares located in the richly mineralized silver-lead-zinc belt of Central Peru, 40 km northwest of Cerro de Pasco.  To date, two zones 1.5 km apart, have been the subject of drill campaigns.

The Company has drilled 25 holes in 2 programs at Zone 1 for a total of 4,433 m. Drill permits are in place for a phase 3 in-fill drilling program. An independent NI43-101 report has determined an inferred silver resource of 32.7 million ounces at 15 g/t cut-off and 29.6 million ounces at 30 g/t cut-off, with average grades of 73 g/t silver and 109 g/t silver, respectively. See October 15, 2012 News Release for details. In-fill drilling along existing lines, where data is missing, will likely provide additional resources. The Company is also applying for an amendment to the drill permit to test a contiguous area of surface mineralization to the northwest of the resource. See September 17, 2012 News Release. Preliminary metallurgical test work done in 2009 has provided positive results including the following highlights: silver recovery ranged from 90 to 97% with cyanide consumptions of 3.5 to 8.0 kg/t after leaching for 72 hours; silver leaching kinetics were extremely fast for both composites and although reagent consumption was moderate to high, the leaching time was extremely rapid.  See June 16, 2009 News Release for further details. Bottle roll and column vat leach tests done in 2012 show recoveries up to 84% and 71%, respectively, using weaker cyanide solution than used in 2009.

At the massive sulphide Ayawilca zone, 1.5 km south of Zone 1, two 3-D inversion IP geophysical surveys have identified a blind target, east of the surface showings previously drilled, trending east-west for at least 1,200 m. Best results to date include 8 m of 15.94% zinc and 33 g/t silver, 30 m of 3.49% zinc and 10 m of 7% zinc. A diamond drill program is currently underway to test this IP anomaly.
