Lucent Technologies: Lucent Technologies' partners to sell secure firewall solution targeted at large enterprises and the federal government
MURRAY HILL, N.J, Jan 15, 2004 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Lucent Technologies
(NYSE: LU) today announced the availability of the Lucent VPN Firewall Brick
1100, the largest firewall in Lucent's extensive security portfolio with one of
the industry's highest capacity throughput. The product will give large
enterprises and other customers with critical security needs, such as federal,
state and local governments, the ability to protect the massive amounts of
incoming and outgoing data on their network without affecting speed or network
performance.
Lucent has already arranged for a number of its business partners, with key
vertical market experience, to sell the firewall solutions. The product will be
available from: Argent Associates, CyberCore Technologies, Graybar, Intelligent
Decisions, Inc. LightRiver Technologies and P4 Performance Management, Inc.
The new VPN Firewall Brick 1100 provides 1.0 Gigabits Per Second (Gbps) IP VPN
throughput allowing more than 7,000 simultaneous VPN tunnels as well as
high-speed firewall, VLAN and virtual firewall capability. It is particularly
suited for secure data center applications that require massive capacity,
extreme security and speed.
